Christine M. Crawford is a poet, advocate, and theology geek who loves to explore the complexities of faith and life through art, story, and humor.
Christine holds a master's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary and is pursuing a master's in Media Arts & Worship. She has contributed to Bible studies on Nehemiah and Ephesians and developed curricula on Purpose & Identity, Drawing Near & Dwelling Well, Soul Stewardship, The Theology of Suffering, The Ministry of Art, and The Chosen.
Christine frequently explores the paradoxical nature of sorrow, suffering, and redemption, with nature as a central theme. Her passion for exploring faith through the wild and wounded places fuels her advocacy for the vulnerable and drives her work through her ministry, The Holy Shift. Christine’s writing has been featured in publications such as Fathom, Devotion Magazine, Rehumanize International, Shout Outdoor Lifestyle Magazine, DTS Voice, The Coffee Cup Bible Study Series, and Texas Poetry Magazine. She has earned awards from the Texas Poetry Society and the Evangelical Press Association.
You'll find her on the porch of her creekside cottage in the Texas Hill Country with her two dogs (one sinner, one saint), savoring anything involving music, laughter, or words.
The She Tree
The She Tree offers raw reflections and redemptive advocacy for women reclaiming their dignity after trauma, loss, or wounding. With the heart of a poet and the mind of a theologian, Christine weaves together faith, grief, and healing through the language of nature.
The Holy Shift
So much of Jesus’ teaching seems paradoxical and “upside-down” to our Western sensibilities. The Holy Shift is an invitation to be curious, dig deep, and be willing to be surprised by God.
Join Christine as she explores the upside-down kingdom of God as the right way forward in faith and life.
